IT'S ABOUT TIME !!!!!! This has been going on since the Jim and Tammy fiasco. Take your hard earned dollars and sow it into your local community church instead. At least you can see first hand where your money is being spent.
Well! The devil did it again. He did what he does best. As jesus Said. "The Devil is a Liar". And all of his cher'ns jump up in glee at the father great and intelligent statement.
The intellectuals, with their secular, liberal, humanist, socialist, political correct 'knowledge seem to often, too often, ecell on a topic they know nothing about. It seems, out of simple, pollitical in correct, decency, they would attempt to educate themselves about who Christians are, what is their purpose in their duty to God and what do Christians do. Let's answer this first. None Christians seem to be the best experts on Christians. That is why they reject, resent the Christian for offering them something more valuable than all that wealth so many wealthy gnostics choose to accept. Accept the Christian's gift of Christ and then I have to accept that i can't "take it with me". Of course. Someone else is going to spend our money when we are gone. The Christian is commanded by God to love his neighbor, his enemy, and every one else. The Christian truly beleives that it is better to give than receive. Actually. He is a little selfish. He loves, enjoys, the pleasure he receives when he sees the happiness he put on another's face by the gift he gave. That is the Christian work. Giving. Christ gave His life for the Christian. Now, he is to give his life sharing the Good News of Christ with the world. That is a big and expensive job. His money is his to do with as he pleases. The none beleives the Christian is a moron for giving his time and wealth to someone 5000 miles away. Everytime there is an international emergency, the Christians head for those in need, out of their money which comes from God, no matter whose check book provided. The giver gave with his heart. He trusted God to provide for his needs and to replenish his wealth in the many ways God blesses us. God blesses those who bless Him. To bless God is to Trust and Obey Him, only. That requires lots of Faith, in Jesus. Everyday some Christian of meager means fels anoited by God, the Holy Spirit and send some church, pastor, some one need his last dime. He does this in faith. God did say it is better to give than receive. He always provides. I have been blessed so many times. Christians have that 'something' others don't have. They know in their knower, that they know, in their heart, spirit, that everything will work out. And, often, God only knows how. This is when you plant your seed of faith into God desires for you to Trust and Obey Him. None beleivers have no idea how many Christians pray for them, for their eternal salvation, every day. Jesus loves us. We love the sinners of the world as He does. We never stop hoping that we shall see you enter the Pearly Gates of Heaven. No more pain, shame, guilt, hate, anger, sorrow. Finally. Joy and peace in the presense of God,, forever. The opposite of that is not good. We give, time, money, labor, love, tears and joy. Every day, Christians are praying, asking God to show them how to do a good work for a fellow man.
There is a little story about Jesus and giving. People was giving their gifts to the Lord. A elderly little woman , very poor gave two pennies. Jesus said that is the greatest gift of all. One of the rich Pharisees puffed up saying , I gave a large amount of money. Jesus said. That is true, but it was only a small portion of what you have. She gave the two pennies, all that she had. With Jesus, it's not the aqmount of money, it is the amount love that one gives. When one gives all the love one has, God is pleased.
It my thought that none Christians should ask the government to inspect all of the really hugh Corporations and see who is really trying to steal the kitchen sink. These Christian givers trust God to see that His work is properly handled by His Sons. If not, one day they will answer to him. Meanwhile, don't spend your time worrying about what is happening with that money. Keep it. That is better than worrying, showing your Faith in God is weak. Bless these Christians who give millions every year, many not even getting a tax break because they gave it to an individual or group who is not incorporated under the Codes. But they give. I am poor. Yet. I enjoy giving to a homeless person on the street, someone old and sick in a rest home who can't even buy a candy bar. I send a carton of cigaretts to a freind in Calif occasionally. Why not the money. I can buy and mail two cartons of cigarrets from the Indian Reservation cheaper than she can buy one carton in Ca. She is also poor. I give my time. God gives first you know. He gave His son Jesus first, and ask nothing in return. He only hopes you will choose Him over Satan. Let's leave God's sons alone. He is their judge. Not a bunch of PC, Christian haters. Forget the politicians. Jesus said, "the devil is a liar, and so are his sons.
May God bless you

Could you fit any more Christian cliches into that space? If the pastors have nothing to hide and did nothing wrong then they should be more then willing to submit their incomes to scrutiny. To whom much is given much is required, that includes accountability.
Hmmmm... As much as I loathe the likes of these scoundrels (and scounreless), I believe it sets a nasty precedent to have the government snooping into the financial dealings of ANY church that individuals willing give their tithes and offerings to. There are laws against fraud and theft in this country, true enough. However, so far as I know, there are no laws that demand mature discernment. Nor are there any laws against stupidity and ignorance.
I think one of the points of the video was that as nonprofit organizations there is very little financial accountability because they don't have to file with the IRS. Stealing is stealing even under the guise of religion.

Amen to that reply.

Lets not give Big Brother any more entré than we absolutely have to into our personal lives. Including, which ministries we may or may not choose to support, regardless of their doctrine.
